A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

You are a tiny Mushroom fighting Isopods on a stump! 

Player and enemies are tied to a looped ability system that perform actions automatically in a cycle. Buy new abilities each round and customize your action loop! Make stronger combos and defeat those pesky Isopods in the arena!!!

Beware! Each wave increases in difficulty, try to survive as long as you can!


🍄⚔️ INSTRUCTIONS ⚔️🍄

▪️ Buy abilities in the shop by dragging them to your loop.

▪️ Move with WASD and aim with your MOUSE. 

▪️ Abilities activate automatically  in the loop above your head.

▪️ Each round end gain 1 token to customize your loop further.

▪️ Each ability buys for 1 token and can be sold for 1 token.

Install instructions

To play the game download the "MyceliumMayhem.zip" folder, extract it and execute the "MyceliumMayhem.exe" file.

Love it! The core, I'd say, has a ton of potential for expanding, it took almost no time to understand what I'm doing and then a ton of feedback comes your way each run with just a few decisions required from me during the deck building phase.

Also love the balance of thinking strategically during the deck building to moment to moment combat during the actual round!

Just letting you know, in the 2.1 version the enemies all still toss themselves off the top of the stump. They seem like they are in a hurry to do so as well!

Agh thats so weird. Ill go back to fixing. I cant replicate the bug myself but I'll just keep trying to add failsafes if everything else fails

btw are you on a PC or laptop?

Ok I believe its working now! I finally got to test alongside someone who could replicate the bug so it should work now. Thanks for the patience!

Yeah, we could only replicate the bug on laptop, I'm assuming something performance related delayed the instantiation of our player character so the enemies had a bad reference for it. We managed to fix it on our end, hoping it works for you too!

They do actually! They are detritivore (also our mushroom looks tasty)

Gorgeous graphics but struggling with gameplay, enemy units run straight off the field even in level 5+.

I couldn't replicate the bug on my end but I added failsafes so it should be fixed. Thanks for bringing it up!

For some reason instead of attacking me all of the enemies go to the top of the screen and fall of the stump

I added some failsafes and I *believe* its fixed on 2.1, thanks for pointing it out!

unfortunately, it is still there.. I saw failsafe working on the first level, but on the second one they fell again

Dang... Its hard to debug because I can never replicate the bug myself, super sorry that its happening to you and some other people. Can you give me a bit more info on whats happening? Do the characters simply walk upwards and fall? I'll try some more drastic measures

Anything else you notice in particular?

Yeah, they all slowly drift up. Sometimes I played the 1st level normally (enemies would walk towards me) and then the bug would happen on the 2nd level. I tried one more time, and the enemy walked to the right and fell of as well, then on the 2nd level they walked upwards again.

I really like it ! But if we put two four-leaf clover we are trap in an infinite loop of nothing. Aside from that, the game is very enjoyable.

Yeah there are a couple infinite loops you could fall into haha

Love this game! Very cute graphics and fun gameplay

Found a bug where you permanently lose 1 of the 4 shop options. Not quite sure what triggered it, was dragging a token from the shop and pressed right click (or released left?) and it disappeared. That shop slot never got refilled.

Play version 2.0 for a much more challenging game! Also some bugfixes and rebalancing (previous version was a bit too easy haha)

I really liked the artwork and the sound design. Very interesting and creative game. I wish i was able to control the camera at all. but overall great work!

I tried out of curiosity, i saw the jam from Nick and Glenn, first of all, it was fun indeed and creative, i liked that it was 3D as well, but i didn't like one tipsy tiny bit thing, hence the reason im leaving this comment haha. My pc is high end, like I'm usually doing not so lightweight stuff for the ordinary user, but it was the first time i heard my pc. Like, i read 108MB i said alr, but all my fans went ultra mode on their own (i got 11), i went to my stats immediately while the game was running...it wasn't pleasant, i saw temps and cpu alone was almost 80c, i didn't play the rest of it, i reached round 3 and immediately closed it off. I thought you might wanted to know, i think, it's a little heavy for what it was supposed to be, i mean it feels and looks like a lightweight game lmao. Other than that, yea pretty awesome you managed this result in such timespan guys i admire people like you good job hope to see more of this for real, it was fun.
